NICOLE CASI, ART APPRAISER
Nicole Casi is a fine arts research specialist and appraiser at New Orleans Auction Galleries, where she specializes in assessing values for private collectors, estate planners, dealers, fiduciaries, and museums. Nicole received her B.A from Colgate, M.F.A. from the Art Institute of Chicago, and Ph.D. from Cornell. She has served as a research assistant at the Art Institute and has taught art history at various universities and colleges throughout the country including Bellarmine and Spalding. It was there she served as part of a two person team to accompany the USO Christmas Tours. But her tour of duty was not an easy one. Vietnam was the first conflict the United States would leave unfinished, and the scars it left on American soldiers who fought continue to ache to this day. Perhaps even more so for an army nurse for whom death was a constant presence. Join us to hear Marj's spellbinding story of service. |
